The design of temporary offices for a law firm in a non-descript new office building in Amsterdam. The young and dynamic lawyers intented to move into their permanent offices in a few years time and only need a temporary working environment that reflects their character. In this way, it was possible to use this temporary environment to develop and test a number of ideas and design solutions. We were able to look at, for example, how closed and open offices can be combined, how the image of a door-free office can be generated, and how the use of materials can be simplified, yet still retain allure. The firm never moved location and recently added a new floor designed by Merkx+Girod architects.
